Changes in Ulubey Canyons!

Ulubey Canyon, located in the Ulubey district of Uşak and known as the second largest canyon in the world, is undergoing a cultural change with the effect of the glass terrace. The canyon, which attracts attention with its glass terrace and Adventure Park, attracts the attention of nature and adventure enthusiasts, while causing changes in the cultural structure of its people.

The Ulubey Canyon Festival, which has been held for many years, has reached visitors from outside the city with the effect of the glass terrace and adventure park. The local people, who have lived on agriculture and animal husbandry for years, have started to take ownership of Ulubey by getting along with different people who come to the canyon thanks to the glass terrace. Ragıp Uncle mentioned that when no one knew about these canyons, they used to play games from their own culture with their friends around those canyons, but over time these games have been forgotten.

The local people, who were initially unfamiliar with this project, began to benefit from the projects as the canyons became known. They began to sell some of their own projects, from handicrafts from their own culture to local products. This was actually opening the door of Ulubey's cultural values and local cuisine to everyone. Today, visitors to the region not only discover the wonder of nature, but also contribute to the economy by purchasing natural and cultural products produced by the local people.

The Green Scarf Story that Ragıp Amca shared with us is an important love story that took place in this culture. The love story of Değirmenci Mustafa and Fatma actually takes us to Ulubey's past. In fact, Ragıp Amca, who says that it could even be the first love story that took place in these canyons, keeps the cultural value of the canyon alive and enriches the touristic experience in the region by passing this story on from generation to generation.
