Thousands of Coffees Are Being Recalled: It Wasn't Decaf!

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ordered the recall of more than 4,000 packaged coffees after it was determined during an inspection that coffees sold as decaffeinated actually contained caffeine.

The US Food and Drug Administration generally uses this recall, which it considers a class 2, for situations where the product does not pose serious irreversible risks if consumed. It is an indication that the recall decision was made to warn people who are sensitive to caffeine that caffeine may be consumed due to incorrect labeling.

It was determined that exactly 4 thousand units of the coffee series belonging to "Espresso Bay", which made a labeling error, were produced and it was recalled. It was announced that if the 12 ounce (340 gram) packages were returned, they would be replaced with a new one or a refund would be taken.
