Cartoon Exhibition Revealing the Truth!

Behiç Ak's cartoon exhibition has started to meet with art lovers at Ankara Cartoon Workshop! The exhibition, which cartoon lovers should not miss, will remain open to art lovers until April 21.

Behiç Ak emphasizes in this exhibition that the art of cartoons should make people think rather than make them laugh. Stating that he loves Ankara very much and that the exhibition being in Ankara renewed this bond, Behiç Ak said,

''The real censorship is not seeing. You draw something but the other person doesn't see it, that's what's scary. From childhood on, individuals have a cultural agenda that stems from trying to fit into society, avoiding incompatibilities, seeing them as bad and trying to get rid of them. Individuals who surrender to that agenda start not seeing the truth. Art actually exists to reveal what is hidden by daily realities and to reconcile people with their own incompatibilities,'' he said.

Behiç Ak touched upon the therapeutic aspect of art and explained that it heals both the other person and himself.
